Today’s bike of the day is the Piaggio MP3 LT 300 Yourban. MCN rode this bizarre machine back in 2011 and said: "Aimed at those with either no desire or experience of two wheels, as it can be ridden on a car licence.
"So, the sure-footed, reassuring and unintimidating Yourban may well be worth the premium over conventional scooters."
With a 278cc engine that produces 22.8bhp and capable of a top speed of 70mph, the Piaggio has a surprisingly good fuel consumption of around 80mpg.
It has clever front suspension and an additional wheel that makes it slightly nose heavy, but also provides great confidence for the rider. Due to the extra wheel it is incredibly stable in all conditions and is untroubled by potholes and rough surfaces.
